Meet Rick

Rick Crosslin is currently the School Liaison for Science Learning at the Indianapolis Children’s Museum, on sabbatical from his position as science teacher at MSD Wayne Township in Indianapolis. He has received numerous awards throughout his 30 year career, recognizing him as an outstanding classroom (and out of the classroom) teacher. Among these are being named a Christa McAuliffe Fellow and receiving the 1998 Milken National Educator Award. Crosslin has taught students ranging from pre-school to grad school, from Indiana to Cairo, Egypt. He has 20 years of experience with summer camps and athletic programs, including nature instruction and soccer coaching. He continues to create programs designed to make the learning experience exciting and rewarding for kids. He won an Emmy award for his program “Tale of the Bone,” produced with WFYI, Indianapolis Public Television. Everywhere he goes, Crosslin shares his life motto: “This is science. Try it yourself!”

Earth Science Episode
